Fine grained blue/grey sandstone
This stone was extracted in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is a versatile stone that is available in large sizes. It is suitable for most applications including steps paving, ashlar and dressings.
Recent projects include the Stevenson 'Hive' Building Glasgow, replacement steps to the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, and flooring/tiles to Hexham Cathedral visitor centre.
